1) Subsidy for Equipment of Saito Bio-ventures (Osaka Prefecture)
| Eligibility |
Bio-venture companies (capital not exceeding 300 million yen or number of full-time employee not exceeding 50, individuals planning to found a new company included) to reside in bio incubation facilities approved by the Osaka Prefecture that fall under one of the following items:
- Specializes in business based on the research results of universities, etc.
- Business established by staff or students of universities, etc.
- Aims to establish business by joint R&D with universities, etc.

| Percentage and limit of support amount |
Within 1/2 the amount for equipment cost, max. up to 1 million yen per annum, and up to 1 million yen per 12 months since the first month of settling within the Center (maximum 5 years period) |
| Subject Fees |
Equipment costs when setting up in the Center, or additional equipment purchased in order to carry out R&D activities
- Lease or loan contract – per equipment basic fee must be 500,000 yen or more
- Purchase (lump sum payment) – per equipment basic fee must be 100,000 yen or more
*Note: Basic fee means the price of main equipment, excluding costs for maintenance, installation construction, etc. Equipment for administrative office work are excluded as well.

Fill in application form: “Application for Osaka Prefecture, Saito Bio Incubation Center, Equipment Cost Subsidy” and submit to the Osaka Prefectural Government administration with the required attachment documents. |
| Miscellaneous |
As a basis, actual payments of subsidies will occur as reimbursements. However, in some cases, estimate-based payments may be possible depending on accomplishments. |

2) Rent Fee Subsidy (Ibaraki City)
| Eligibility |
- Those performing biotechnology related R&D having contracted a Lab-office Rent Agreement (individual or corporate)
- Must have capital not exceeding 300 million yen nor have more than 50 full-time employees

- In case of being a citizen of Ibaraki City or having corporate headquarters in Ibaraki City:
Floor space x 1,250 yen x number of months used (up to max. 1.5 million yen)
- In case of others than above:
Floor space x 1,000 yen x number of months used (up to max. 1.2 million yen)

When the usage commencing or termination date does not fall on the first or last day of the month, fee calculation will be handled by a daily basis. |

3) Approved Incubation Facility System
A system where owners of research facilities established by private enterprises are given Biotechnology Incubation Facility Approval by Osaka Prefecture. Biotechnology venture companies that move into facilities that have received this approval may receive support measures from Osaka Prefecture and/or Ibaraki City.
